Ukraine vs Russia — Manifest Destiny?

Manifest Destiny — a phrase once conceived in 1845, the idea that the United States of America is destined, by God, to branch out its dominion and spread the core traits of democracy and capitalism across the entire North American continent. This very philosophy drove the U.S.A. to expand her territories and was a mechanism, to justify the imposed removal of Native Americans and other groups from their ancestral homes.

Gallantly, Monroe spoke to congress, to warn European nations not to interfere with America’s Westward augmentation, threatening that any attempt by Europeans to interfere with the divine philosophy, would be a declaration of war.

This cultural incantation led to American enlargement and the end of the true founding forefathers of America. It also resulted in the death of 4340 individuals, many of Native American origin.
